GREENTOWN-"Music at the Fountain" concert series continues Thursday with more entertainment for the music loving audience. "The Lord's Servants," a southern gospel bluegrass group, will take the stage at 7 p.m. on Meridian Street, north of the stop light.

"They call their music 'southern gospel bluegrass,'" committee chairperson Jolene Rule said. "I call it 'toe tapping' music."

The group is led by Pastor Brad Swain of First General Baptist Church. His father, Albert Swain, has been the Indiana Senior Fiddle Champion six times and is a renowned bluegrass musician, Rule said. Playing banjo will be Derrick Dillman, who has played for Marty Raven, she said. Other members of the band are Michele Bagley and Chelsea Tedlock.

Besides the music, the audience will be invited to participate in a cake walk at the midpoint of the concert.

Coming next week, Sept. 3, will be "The New London Sound," which include two men and their guitars who play music that everybody knows, she said. The crowd will be invited to sing along.

In the occurrence of rain, "Music at the Fountain" will be held at the Lions Pavilion at the Howard County Fairgrounds. The series runs every Thursday until Sept. 17. The series is a community program of the Greentown Main Street Association.
