GREENTOWN - He may not be the only person at the Howard County 4-H Fair to be showing multiple animals, but this boy may have a little "Magic" on his side.

The "Magic" is his pygmy goat, as that is the animal's name. Austin Richard has cerebral palsy and that has not got him down. He began riding horses at the age of 3 and he's kept going on from there. He is now showing his animals at the county fair.

"The pygmy goats were born on the Weber family farm," said Katie Richard, his sister. "We meet the basic care of their needs: food, water and exercise."

He has shown goats, ducks, pigs, sheep and rabbits during his years' at the fair.

Being involved in the fair has been a boost to his self esteem and speaking skills as well as her own, she said.

His sister is proud of what he has accomplished with all of his animals.

"This has been good for him showing animals and this is a chance to be with his friends," Katie Richard said.

This August, Austin will be a freshman at Western High School and his sister a senior at the school.
