GREENTOWN- "Music at the Fountain" summer concert series continues Thursday at 7 p.m. with local gospel singer Sally Duke taking the stage on Meridian Street, north of the stop light.

Duke, a graduate of Eastern High School, said she plans on entertaining the audience with herself and Phil and Polly Conner. The gospel tunes will be new and old, she said. Also Duke plans on doing a comedy skit.

"The people really loved it last year," she said. "It broke everybody up."

Duke has performed her gospel and old standards singing all over the United States and abroad, said Jolene Rule, committee chairperson.

"Music at the Fountain" will also have cake walks at the midpoint of the concert. The audience is invited to participate.

Coming next week, Aug. 27, will be "The Lord's Servants," a bluegrass gospel music group.

In the occurrence of rain, "Music at the Fountain" would be held at the Lions Pavilion at the Howard County Fairgrounds. The series runs every Thursday until Sept. 17. The series is a community program of the Greentown Main Street Association.
