The Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery began another exhibit year with "Art Works: From the Well House" on Tuesday at Alumni Hall in the Kelley Student Center. The show runs until Oct. 10.

The 14 art works on display are from previous issues of "From the Well House," the campus' annual literary and arts journal, said Ed Faunce, video studio technician with the IU Kokomo Division of Arts and Sciences.

Faunce said that students from various different disciplines of humanities and arts and sciences are participating in the show.

"We've got several mixed media paintings, some oils, model of the well house, several photographs and pencil and ink drawings," he said.

On Sept. 9, there will be a reception and the live edition of the Well House where the artists and the writers will be explaining their works, he said. The live event will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and refreshments will be served, he said.

The gallery hours are Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed on Sunday, Monday and Friday.

Parking is available in the visitor parking lot on the east side of the library.
